About Baird Ballet

Praise His name with dancing   Psalm 149:3

Baird Ballet is a Christian based dance school and our mission is to develop well rounded dancers with a strong emphasis on classical ballet.  Classical ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and teaches each student discipline, confidence and a positive self expression.

Accomplishing a solid foundation in ballet is crucial to becoming a great dancer in any dance style.  Wthout ballet all movements in most other styles of dance would never be performed properly.

The Baird Ballet performs twice a year at the Rome City Auditorium.  At Christimas and our Spring concert in May.

Ballet technique classes are the foundation for training with emphasis on body placement, proper turn out, use of arms and learning center and across floor combinations.  Students will not rehearse for recital pieces in these classes.

Baird Ballet offers a training program for the serious ballet student.  At age 9, it is recommened that students take a technique class along with their regular classes.  These classes are the foundation for training with emphasis on body placement, proper turn out, use of arms and learing center and across floor combinations.  Students will not learn recital pieces or rehearse in these classes.
